I'm watching the 1999 Rose Bowl on BTN right now.

We had NFL players ALL over the field.

For a guy who's still playing in the NFL, Chris Chambers didn't have the greatest hands in college.

I had forgotten about Tom Burke. I looked up his NFL stats and they are very strange. He played in every game as a rookie, then in only two games the next year. Then 12 in 2001 (9 started), then six in 2002 and out of the league. Did he get injured?

I see where his name is being floated, as Potrykus says, re the Montana HC position.

For his sake and ours, I hope he doesn't get offered or take it. Doeren seems to have some special talents that could take him a long way, and working out from a Montana position is a hard way to make it.

Also, my take is that Chryst is actually the better of the two coordinators right now, but it's Doeren that probably has the best potential as a head coach. We're very...

Is there anyone who has contributed to the current generation of head coaches more than Earle Bruce? During Bruce's 9 years at tOSU (1979-87), his assistant coaches included Pete Carroll, Urban Meyer, Jim Tressel, Nick Saban, Dom Capers, Mark Dantonio and Glen Mason. (OK, the last two didn't need to be mentioned.)

Hayden Fry has strong branches with Alvarez, Bielema, Bill Snyder, Bobby Stoops (and brother Mike), Kirk Ferentz, and Dan McCarney in 20 years at Iowa. Perhaps...

I ponied up the monthly $12.99 for a month of the package (no longer can you drop it in 24 hours) including ESPN Classic just to watch this, and I am glad I did. Very entertaining afternoon of football. I spent some time at UW-LaCrosse before Madison so have some additional affinity for the State U conference.

What impressed me most? (1) UW-W had receivers who caught the ball about as well as any team I saw this season. I didn't see UW-W play any other time this...
