I hope adding Cameron to the roster is the boost they need come Tuesday. Their offensive woes are killing me.

I agree Turk. I'm hoping that Cameron's experience hitting in front of Braun and Fielder will help everyone involved. Cameron should see some pretty good pitches to hit and having a good base runner on base should help Braun and Fielder.

That said, I'm sure Cameron will be sucked into the offensive malaise that is the Crew.

The pitching was good on the homestand. The bats were terrible.

I'm becoming one of those fans who is calling for Turnbow's head on a plate too. I hate to say that, as I've always tried to back the kid, but I think a change of scenery is due for Turnbow. Is it a great sign for Sheets' health that they skipped his start last week for purely "precautionary" reasons, yet even eternal optimist Yost couldn't promise yesterday that he'd be ready to take the hill on Tuesday? Basically, Ben Sheets is made of glass. Great pitcher when he's healthy, and by all accounts a great guy, but he's either pitching through an injury or sidelined because of one about 75% of the time.

Barring the miraculous, can't see...

Sort of. If there is an injury on the ML roster, Bush can be immediately recalled. Nice little exception to the 10-day rule.

the fact that the Brewers were willing to option Bush is a great sign for Sheets' health. In spite of their recent woes, the starters as a whole (sans Bush) have been downright dominant.

I feel a little bad for Bush, but not as bad as I would've felt had Stetter gotten screwed.

If Dougie had the winter to do over, I wonder if he'd have spent a bit more time trying to put a deal together involving Turnbow. While tough to move either way due to the contract, he certainly would've had more of a chance of doing so in December. Now the guy appears to be an albatross on the roster for the whole summer.

I've come full circle on Turnbow and think HE should be the one to be DFA/traded/stoned in a public place. I don't think Bush is starter material, but I think he can be effective out of the pen for an inning or two. Turnbow can do neither anymore.

I am surprised he was stunned, since he knew he was going to be bumped from the rotation. Basically, this move keeps him stretched out so he can replace an injured starter. If McClung struggles and the rotation avoids injury, he is back up around the All-Star break.

I'm not sure temke, but isn't the option just a year where you can send someone between the minors and the big club? If I understand it right, Bush has an "option" year remaining, so he can be sent back...

he did not have a spot in the rotation. he either rots in the BP or goes down.

he will be up when sheets goes back to the DL or another pitcher gets hurt.

he will also likely stay up the rest of the season since he is now out of options.

kind of surprised to not see someone like mc clung go, but not shocked.

Anyone that reads brewerfan.net know if it Sheets has reached the point of being injury prone yet? I haven't read that site in quite some time, but his last 45 injuries were all considered 'insignificant'. just wondering.
