LOL, ok. At first I thought you had adopted the 2 to differentiate between this board and the other, but then I realized that the 2 was there sometimes and not others. I just wanted to be sure you were one and the same person.

Paul Wolfowitz testified before an ad hoc committee of the World Bank's Board of Directors today. His written statement was highly personal, and complained that he was the victim of a "smear campaign" hatched by opponents of the Iraq war and of aid to Africa. He said he'd cleared everything done with respect to his girlfriend's contract with with the Board's Ethics Committee and its then-Chairman, Ad Melkert, on the advice of then-General Counsel Roberto Danino. Melkert and Danino, however, have shot back with denials of much of Wolfowitz's version of events. It's like a da**ed soap opera.

No word yet from former-VP for Human Resources Xavier Coll, but it would be fascinating to hear his version of how the Riza agreement came about, and whether he was or wasn't "ordered" by the President to give her more or less what she demanded. Maybe he's vacationing on a desert island and has missed the whole controversy?
