So, the question now is, "Who replaces Jolene and Janese as the 'golden girls'?" I do not have alot of confidence that Stone can make everyone a "golden girl," as she recently intimated.
Nor do I have alot of confidence that the team is full of "golden girls" or potential "golden girls". I really like Karel, but I'm concerned about her strength and athleticism. Besides, here is a kid who can't even brush aside D'Alie for the starting point position. So, doesn't that speak volumes about the coach's assessment of this player's role in the future?
Now, we're starting to hear from others concerns about whether Zastrow will be fast enough, or aggressive enough. I know I personally was not impressed by Steinbauer, and I would like to say that she is a work-in-progress, but I don't have confidence in the staff to develop her (witness Ward, Gibson, etc.).
Moving on to Dunham, who was all but brushed aside all season long by the coach, is now suddenly being moved to the wing position? Is that going to be her position as a starter?? Of all people to be singled out in that recent story, this really surprised me. Suddenly, Dunham is worthy of being singled out by Stone for next year's plans?
Sounds like somebody trying to prevent a player defection.
Who have I missed? Heins? Gibson? Ingison? Plus the incoming recruits? Oh, and let's not forget about Trotter. Buckle up, bucky fans. Turbulence ahead.
Turbulence behind.
