Someone will have to step up there. We all know Abbrederis is game, but we need a competent option alongside Duckworth. It would be awesome if Mason and/or Willis can give us that large receiver presence, the type of guy you can throw the ball up to downfield and hope he makes a play.

I've seen it inferred  a few times from certain posters here and elsewhere that Alexander was asked to leave. He took the same job at  arguably a lesser school with no increase in money under the auspices of "going home." The fact that he did not tell most of the players that he was leaving as Mason suggests seems to indicate that he definitely was not on the best of terms. He was hired as an emergency with an interim tag because of Henry Mason's health, not really the time to do a thorough search and find the best possible coach. I was actually surprised they retained him after that first season (continuity? loyalty?) and I've felt for a while that our WR's weren't showing the year to year development that we saw under HM. Azzani has coached some good players with some great stats but I am unsure of his long term track record. I expect an upgrade from Alexander but how big of one is still a question.
