Apparently Mormanism teaches that free schools by taxation is theft.
That is a bit scary, isn't it?
One really needs to look at education as an investment in everyone's future. The better educated Americans are, the better the country will be at competing in world markets. Also the better the world will be for the innovations and improvements to living.
IMO, it's very short sighted to cut off public education.
As far as I know, Romney has not been asked if he favors an end to free public education. Someone needs to ask him.
Edit: I understand that, like bigamy, the church modified its stance on this issue and that many Mormans go to public schools. Still, Mitt went private schools and his stance would be interesting to know.
