It was just poorly timed I guess. I like Corey Hart's skills. Does that help?

here's the problem I have with you testy fans. If my posts come from a Brewer fan, it's just a normal question. I actually wasnt trying to start
something. I havent posted in a Brewer thread in weeks.

Most Brewer fans wouldn't word it like you do, but whatever. I don't really care personally, I'm used to dealing with Cub fans.
"I'm just trying to see what its like on this roller-coaster of emotion." If I posted that after a tough Cubs season would you take it as casual rival fan talk? "That ain't Chuckie's game. Chuckie hacks on 2-and-0." |

Shouse gave up the hit that scored 3 runs, and then Torres gave up the winning runs...Sure Mota sucked huge donkey balls, but so did Shouse and Torres. Too
bad, cause Parra threw another gem. Oh well. 5-5 ain't bad against Atl, Min and Az. Coming home against Pit, Col and Cin, I'm hoping the Brewers can
win about 7 or 8 of them and cruise into the All Star break. If you would have said 2 weeks ago that the Crew would gain ground on the Cubs in the 10 day trip,
I'd be more than happy.

What the fuck did you expect? We've been talking all day, and immediately after the game you add you two cents in one of our toughest loses of the year.
It sadly reminded me of the Ramirez walk off. If I seem testy, it's because I am. No differant then I'd expect your reaction to be if the Cubs lost
that way.

I'm sorry, but you can pin this loss on Bill Schroeder. At the start of the 9th inning he said (as close as I can remember): "I know I may sound like
a homer here, but I watch Jason Kendall everyday and I think he deserves serious consideration for the All-Star team."
If ridiculous comments like that don't anger the baseball gods, I don't know what would. |

I don't know how the other NL catchers stack up vs Kendall, but he's about as close to the guy you saw last September as last yrs mediocre Linebrink is
to the guy who couldn't be touched last weekend. If "serious consideration" means he's in the top 4 or 5 in the NL, that's not far off.

New low for the idiotic Brewer chat on this board. Mota walked a guy, but also got 2 ground balls. With a little help, Mota would have been looking at a 5
run lead with 2 outs and only the guy he walked standing on first. Sometimes guys don't make plays. This was one of those times.

Azree's post was nothing short of pure gold.
Oh well. 5-5 ain't bad against Atl, Min and Az. Coming home against Pit, Col and Cin, I'm hoping the Brewers can win about 7 or 8 of them and cruise into the All Star break. If you would have said 2 weeks ago that the Crew would gain ground on the Cubs in the 10 day trip, I'd be more than happy. I am surprisingly calm considering the events of the 9th inning today. The primary reason for this was detailed in the post above. Going back two weeks ago, if I was given the chance to take a 5-5 roadtrip with a horrific loss thrown in somewhere I would have taken it without much thought. The loss totally sucked donkey dick, but over the course of a 162-game season shit like this is going to happen. Furthermore, the Brewers have been making late-inning situations excessively interesting on a consistent enough basis that I was mentally prepared for something like this. Also: JJ Hardy currently has a better batting average than Fielder and Braun. 1) If having a man-crush on Russell Branyan is wrong, then I don't wanna be right.

JJ Hardy is on freakin fire. Just like he was last spring, with Braun and Fielder struggling it's no surprise his average has jumped higher. These young
guys are inconsistent as all piss but I guess that's how it goes. Braun will get hot and the other two (Fielder, Hardy) will be ice cold and then it will
rotate between those three it seems. Weeks doesn't seem to go on many hot streaks. He's the most frustrating player (that I've seen) that's
played for the Brewers, dude has talent but can't get it done.

A few recent trends (Today's game not included)...
1) Since Returning from the DL, Weeks has put up a .273/.342/.515/.857 line in 38 PA. Great? No. Small sample? Yes. But at the very least it is an encouraging sign to keep an eye on. 2) Manny Parra has not given up a run in three of his last four starts. 3) Since going to the bullpen, Carlos Villanueva has pitched 20.1 innings, has a 2.66 ERA, 20 Ks, and opponents are hitting .237/.275/.355/.630 off of him. 4) During the 2007 season, Ryan Braun had an FRAA of -21 at 3rd base, meaning that (in theory) an average 3B would have saved the Brewers 21 runs. This season in LF Braun has an FRAA of +6. 5) Jason Kendall has twice as many walks (24) as Johnny Estrada did all of last season (12). 1) If having a man-crush on Russell Branyan is wrong, then I don't wanna be right.

Thank you CFB's, hearing those numbers makes me feel a little better. The fact that the lowly Giants just beat the Cubs helps as well.
