Threet takes the high snap to start play: Shaughnessy stunts around right tackle, Newkirk draws a double, Levy fills B gap left by Matt. It seems to me like a lot of these types of hits are out of frustration. Not an excuse but I will cut MS some slack. He usually plays level headed and is very technically sound. He does not showboat and goes about his business, with out the chest pumping, arm waving and extra curricular stuff some of his teammates seem to get a little carried away with.

Matt started to hold up after he made contact with Threet, so it wasn't an egregious hit. Threet went down as much from Schofield tripping him. The entire sequence of photos is 4 seconds, the first frame at 17:17:39 last at 17:17:42. The zebra was on a line directly behind MS, so he was going to call it every time. Shaughnessy is my favorite Badger this century.

Clay not yet knowing the plays and having back issues and Zach underused. Many thought Smith might have been a difference maker in this game and it's only one-third of the season. I feel pretty comfortable with that statement.
