I'm at family's in Silver Spring, MD on New Year's, and with Bucky and Missouri both playing at the same time, me and my Mizzou grad BIL/ sister will need somewhere that has both games. Where's the local Badger bar to be at around 10:30 Jan. 1 to see us whop another SEC team?

Alumni Bar is in downtown DC at Hamilton's Bar and Grill. I'll get you address information later. It's easily accessible by Metro on the red line (which is the line for Silver Spring).

Note: Judiciary Square is the metro stop; it is on the red line. The bar also is very close to Union Station. There probably will be at least 25 people there to watch the game.
One alternative suggestion is to travel to my home as I will not be going to the game or bar as I instead spoil myself in watching the game on my brand new HD TV with a sweet surround sound stereo system. If interested, drop me a message in my inbox, and we can discuss further. ******************

Appreciate the input, and I'll see if the others are up for it. The problem is that there's three other sets of adults with babies around, and they may want to stick around Silver Spring, so what's an option there if they're not down with going into the city.

Back in the late 90s I used to watch the Packers at the Ramada Inn on Wisconsin Ave in Bethesda (would only be about 4 miles from Silver Spring). They would charge you a $10 cover but gave you a $10 coupon good towards food and drinks (not a bad deal). No idea if they still do that.
Never checked to see if they showed college games on Saturday. You might want to give them a call. |
