I'm having a Leinie's Oktoberfest and a corndog after covering a high school football game.
Also did a three-minute radio interview about the game I covered. Yeah, I'm kind of a big deal... But the fact that some geniuses were laughed at does not imply that all who are laughed at are geniuses. They laughed at Columbus, they laughed at Fulton, they laughed at the Wright brothers. But they also laughed at Bozo the Clown. -- Carl Sagan |

Gotcha. Just wondering why you're getting drunk alone on a friday. Should at least be getting a handy from an LDS.

I got absolutely wasted last night, too. Just starting to feel better now. I'm getting too old for this crap.

I was hungover today, big time. I felt like I had been hit by a car, nothing that some McDonald's and Miller Lite couldn't cure.

I don't know. I'm 24 and I've been sick all day. It doesn't help that I drank myself stupid last night. I'm not a quitter so I'll be
back at it tonight probably, but I'm not going with the 2:30 am blackout.
yfinn, T-Bell is my go-to hangover meal. It was delicious. |

yfinn6 wrote: You live in germany and you are eating McDonald's and drinking Miller Lite? Of course you are doing it as a hangover cure, so I guess if you have your formula why fuck with it? I stole a shopping cart from the A&P and go around the office twice a day collecting aluminum cans. It's gotten easier and quicker now that
everybody is accustom to my schedule, and just quickly throws a can in the cart without unnecessary chit-chat or eye contact.

Buddj4 wrote:I went with all-German beer and food last night. My Saturdays - if I stay in and watch the Badgers - usually require Miller Lite. I don't get a hangover from ML. Drinking German Beer and Schnapps really makes my head hurt. As far as McDonald's goes, well, no excuse really. Although it does taste better over here, and it should since it's fucking expensive.

The days of drinking til 4 in the morning on a Thursday and stubblin in to work on Friday are long gone. Today, if I'm drinking past midnight, I'm bound to wake up feeling a little gimpy. |

yfinn6 wrote:I think that was my problem too. I began my night with 5-6 big mugs of Scotch Ale at the Great Dane. I'm pretty much a Miller Lite type of guy, but it was a special occasion and I actually enjoyed the taste of this stuff. Only problem was I drank it like it was Miller Lite: fast and furious. That formed the foundation of my sick Saturday no doubt. That and the fact that I finished the night washing down my Miller Lite with shots.

Usually a glass of water before passing out works wonders. Only problem is I usually don't remember to have one prior to passing out. I can't really
explain how I'm lucky enough to not be hung over in the morning but I got hammered last night and woke up no problem this morning.
Edit to add: Now if only I could figure out how to not have wicked farts when I wake up. Good lord! ![]()

I agree that the glass of water before bed is key. Maybe our ideas of getting hammered are different. Or maybe our ideas of a hangover are. I don't always
get hangovers, but if you haven't had one in three years I'm jealous. I'd definitely be an alcoholic if that was the case for me.
