If all four teams are still tied and have the same winning percentage of all games played, the highest-ranked team in the final BCS standings shall be the representative.

Minny is a decent team and fully capable of beating Iowa, esp. without Stanzi. and given the fact that Iowa has played their worst football at home. Doesn't this mean that UW is officially eliminated from being the representative? The winner of the Iowa/OSU game can still lose their final game and have the tiebreaker over us. If all four teams end at 6-2, either OSU/Iowa will have completed (a). If it's a three-way tie with PSU and Iowa OR OSU, Iowa and OSU win that tiebreaker having beat PSU and UW.

Posts: 1912 11/08/09 8:58 PM	It's only important from the standpoint of bowl games, and if the Badgers can't go to the Rose Bowl, the rest are all a horse apiece as far as I'm concerned. But my understanding is that the conference record alone determines whether a team is a Big Ten Champion. Every team you played has scored on your defense. IIRC the Cyclone D didn't put that FG up on the board. Even the lowly Badgers have an opponent goose egg on one side of the ledger. HMMMM don't see one for that vaunted Iowa D. I have a feeling that their O is a gonna git one here real soon now. You've seen the Gopher defense, right? Yep, its kinda average. Your offense with Stanzi was fairly shaky, so I expect that without him it will be even shakier. Posts: 5540 11/09/09 12:30 PM Ambassador	Yes, haack, the winner of OSU-Iowa will go to the Rose Bowl no matter what happens the next weekend. Wisconsin is out of the Pasadena picture. The Badgers can still finish as Big Ten co-champs if everyone winds up at 6-2. There is no tiebreaker to dtermine conference champion -- only to determine the automatic BCS qualifier.
