Posts: 5526 April 19, 2012 9:15 PM	The anthropomorphic 1975 Chevy Van (doors do not lock, some interior odor) known as Ted Nugent has once again said some stupid things very loudly without the added benefit of respectable guitar work, braying at last weekend’s NRA convention that President Barack Obama is “vile” and “evil,” and that if he is re-elected, “I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year.” Has anyone taken Nugent in the death pool? If not, I've got dibs.

My office window does not have a ledge. I'm happy we won. I heard some ranked teams even lost. I'm glad we are not Virginia Tech. I like our coach. I know these are 19 year old kids. The season is young. Mistakes will get cleaned up. Fowler said even Alabama threw an interception once. The other guys are on scholarship, too. After living through the Don morton era, I'm just glad to be here.

I'll bet a hunter like Nugent has a pretty awesome pair of binoculars. My response was a line from Spinal Tap, in keeping with Levi's theme. If memory serves, the Dixie Chicks were performing in London when they made their infamous comments. Trashing your president while in a foreign country seems, well, a little unseemly. This is really what caused the furor. I'm not disagreeing with your assessment that it is unseemly. Is the Nuge's threatening/insulting of the president not unseemly? The fact that they were overseas is the differentiation point? Really? The point is, and remains, that if the Nuge was a liberal, and had said about Bush what he has said about Obama, Faux would have crucified him. They are still beating the drums over Wright/Ayers.

Actually, i thought about stringing this along, as the idea of you commenting on guitar styles in the poli sci/fitness forum was absurdly delicious. But, i chose against it. Mostly bececause it was impossible to find any guitarists to ask you about that did anything post 1979. But, what the heck. Malmsteen or The Nuge?

Nugent made the admission in signing a plea agreement with federal prosecutors that was filed Friday in U.S. District Court...The plea agreement says Nugent illegally shot and killed the bear in May 2009 on Sukkwan Island days after wounding a bear in a bow hunt, which counted toward a state seasonal limit of one bear. link These ARE the good old days!
