I haven't followed Lockett's situation too much but I thought he was being granted immediate eligibility next year because his mother was very ill and he wanted to be at home with her. In fact I scoffed at the idea of him transferring to Wisconsin for that reason, because I couldn't see how going to school 275 miles away from home made the situation any better. (So how would 350 miles work?) But I may have had it wrong. Is he a grad a la Russell Wilson or Brandon Wood? In that case he can go wherever he wants, although I could have sworn it was something about his mother. By the way, is this the other shoe dropping from Buzz shit-canning Durley? They had an open scholarship so he received it this year but will be a walk-on next year. He was cited for underage for the fight at the club in Milwaukee so I'd say he's managed to fit in quite well with his teammates.

If you are going to spend 4 years of your life primarily with the other players, you probably want to have some things in common with them. Outside of basketball. It isn't so much of a black/white thing, more of a background thing.

I liked the first comment to the article, but I'm surprised that it has not been removed yet: Apr 24, 2012 3:13 PM It's a good thing we ran off Durley this week or we'd be in the same boat as Minnesota!
