Walking across the desert, yeah, you're fucked within a day or two. I would think in a largely immobilized state in a climate controlled environment (maybe with enhanced humidity), not in direct sunlight, not in the wind, and you're not eating / digesting, you'd have a better shot at going longer.

Much longer if one is not sweating - some have gone well over a week. Also, he was apparently drinking his pee - not sure how he pulled that off while in handcuffs, but I don't really want to think about it. With that said, his kidneys had just about shut down - one more day and he probably would have died. He'll be very rich soon, and we'll all be paying for it.
