The strategy is to manipulate private sector workers into resenting public sector employees and then dismantle the ability of all of them to have democratic representation in the workplace to negotiate for better wages and working conditions through the Orwellian titled, "Right-to-Work" laws. Right-to-Work is NewSpeak for you have no rights at work.

Also nice that the police union which had endorsed Walker in 2010 now is endorsing Barrett.

Even more surprising is the astonishing resemblance between the Walker scheme and the series of measures put forth by President Obama as the Governor’s proposal involves reoccupying foreclosed and vacant properties while making loans and venture capital money available to small businesses and industrial developers.

Of course, Scott Walker had been a vocal opponent of such proposals when uttered by the President.

In noting the transparent effort, commentator Bob Cesca points out that some of the money will also go toward revitalizing the area’s transportation industry which, as Cesca notes, is “particularly amusing, as it was Governor Walker who led the charge to reject federal stimulus funds allocated for the state to revitalize transportation. Funds which the state of Wisconsin would later have to cover themselves absent the federal grant.”

Boiled down: Walker is challenged by the fairly popular mayor of Milwaukee. Perhaps he could make a nice gesture to Milwaukee. OK, a bribe. But he has no money, remember? All these dreadful things he simply had to do, it was because Wisconsin is, like, totally broke! Mother Hubbard goes to the cupboard find her poor dog a bone, but the cupboard is bare! Not even the miracle of tax cuts to businesses is helping, there is no money! There is no money!

But wait!!  While rummaging through the couch looking for forgotten Cheetos, he finds....a hundred million dollars! And rushes to announce that he will use that money to stimulate the economy of Milwaukee, bless his little weasel heart!
