Posts: 70 July 1, 2012 2:47 PM	Rewatching yesterday, I was struck by the wide talent differential. Mr. Ball seemed to enjoy juking tacklers out of their jocks in the open field, something one seldom sees, even from super talents like Montee, against real teams, but only against UNLV, SoDak and the like. The offensive line pushed defenders anyway they pleased. And one can also see the challenge that Coach Kill faces in teaching players who have been coached poorly or not at all under the previous regime. One play featured Nick Toon going down and out about 20 yards into the end zone, while the defender kept his eyes drilled into the Badger backfield, before turning all the way around to watch Toon grab an easy TD from a distance of five yards. Minny looked pathetic. Jerry Kill is a good coach who I believe will return the team to the level of the Mason years, no mean achievement from the base he assumed. They might win five this year, and perhaps have a breakout win next year (hopefully not against us, though, statistically, our streak is waaayyyy long), but it's a herculean task. They looked terrible.

She didn't give an ultimatum, and as soon as she told me when it was I immediately said I'd be missing the Gopher game and going with them. However, it doesn't stop me from being bummed that the streak is gonna end at 19 straight games.
