Posts: 10805 July 6, 2012 5:17 PM	Just looked at the Memorial Union webcam. Terrace is bereft of people and the sidebar said it was 104 degrees at 5:10PM local time. I recall a day in the late 70's where it hit 103 in Madison. It didn't feel too bad since it was very dry. EDIT: Just saw my local forcast for tomorrow. It's 76 now, but going up to 106. Last night it cooled to 92 inside which made sleeping pure hell. You know those little ice cube blanket things that you put in the cooler to keep things cold? I brought a few to bed. Repair guy got here at 12:30pm and fixed it fast. It's been running for 5 hours and it now feels icy at 83...a huge accomplishment considering my outside thermometer read 110 a few hours ago.

He spent ten days in Afghanistan in May. Enough time to get shot at, have some casualties nearby. I was very glad when he was out of there.
