As of yesterday morning 55,000 tickets have been sold |

To the Detroit regional and at 150.00 a pop or more it could be a record breaking crowd. I hear they are expecting a crowd of 60,000 and a single game/session
NCAA record is 64,000.

The problem with playing Davidson is... | #1 | ||

When the selection committee announced that we were a 3 seed rather than a 2, they justified it by putting us in Detroit. Now that we're playing Davidson
aka, "Cinderella," I have to imagine that the majority of the fans at Ford Field will be pulling for the Wildcats. Either way, it sounds like
we'll have a nice contingent of Badger fans in Motown.

good portion will skip the game because they're MSU fans and want to watch the spartans. (Also, the ticket prices ranged from 150 down to about 50, so
they're not all that expensive).

That could be, but with tickets already sold that will go towards the attendance figure. It will depend on the number Badger and Jaywawk fans are buying.

Last time I checked, the UW does it the same way. I didn't count 17,190 in the Kohl Center for the Edgewood game... or the Iowa game, for that matter. Also, if they sold 55,000, there's no way in hell that there will be less than 40,000 in the stands. That would be almost 1/3 no-shows. |

You're probably right for Friday, Eric, but I suspect there will be fewer fans on Sunday. Whoever loses on Friday, it's doubtful those fans will stick
around Detroit in March to see the game Sunday.
