I voted for Walker in the recall and voted for Obama in the election.   I think I qualify hopefully.

I voted for Obama for many reasons.   It wasnt really close.  I think Obama is a leader.  The kind where once he is out of office he will still have great influence.  I saw Romney as the best available candidate who was willing to get smoked by Obama.  The good Republicans didnt run.  You get one chance.  Why blow it when there is little chance to win?

His tax code ideals were basically the opposite of my beliefs, even though they would probably help me some.   Little to no inheritance tax and a low capitol gains tax is ludicrious in my mind.  They are not going to put their money elsewhere.  The best place for their money is still US investments in one form or the other.  They are smart business people so they will keep on investing that money where they will get the best ROI.  Why give them even more of a break?

I see Obama as a visionary.  His views on future energy sources and the long term health of our country seemed to be 100% better than Romney's plan.  Romneys energy plans are extremely short sighted.  The kind that end up kicking you in the ass 20 30 40 50 years from now.    Obama to me seemed to go by the old saying " an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure".  Romney seems to go by "an ounce of prevention ISNT worth a pound of cure"

I believe govt should help American citizens with some basic needs.  Liberty, food, water, shelter, healthcare(life) and protection, even if you cant afford it.    I think Obama's views are more in line with mine than Romneys. 

I view Romney as being a weak leader because he was pushed around by his party.  He went from being a relatively moderate Republican with some good views to having some views that I view as being a right wing nut. 

The 47% video was just a nail in the coffin.  True thoughts really come out behind closed doors.  This was terrible.

Romney being a Mormon was a huge negative for me as well.  I basically view his religion as a cult.  The fact that the person who started the religion was basically a snake oil salesman 200 years ago didnt help.  I mean, at least Christ was 2000 years ago when things were a lot different.

The fact that he has really never struggled a day in his life didnt help him either.  I just dont see how he could empathize with a lower income person who wasnt ever given a chance. 

His views on wars.  We have been in conflicts that have killed our country the last 12 years.  He was doing way too much sabor rattling for me. 

I didnt believe his business dealings would help with the economy at all.  You cant run the country like Bain capitol.  You cant ship 20% of the skids to Mexico to get rid of the problem.

Overall, he just was a terrible candidate. 

As far as what Obama did,  here is what I consider positives. 

Got us out of Iraq and is getting us out of Afghanistan.  People can say whatever they want.  He did it. 

Killed that motherfucker Osama bin Laden.

Has the USA on a slow steady recovery.  Exactly how I am happy it has went.  I am sure Obama could have said screw it and got the economy pumping by giving Wall Street everything they wanted and won in a landslide.  He didnt.  He built a foundation.  The banks will figure out how to make money.  They were holding off for Romney.  I GUARANTEE that shit will start getting better much quicker now.  The banks know they are stuck with Obama another four years and they cant wait any longer.  They HAVE to start playing by the new rules now.

It is terrible it happened, but I dont give a shit about what happened in Bengazi for the most part.  4 people were killed.  It sucks.  It happened to a diplomat in a fucked up country.  He knew the risks and those risks are impossible to control.  I also dont give a shit that I didnt find out it was a "terrorist attack" 5 minutes after it happened.  In general,  I dont really give a shit.  It was a tragedy.  Probably preventable.  Still overall, it was 4 people, and only one was even mildly relevant.

Overall, I think Obama has done a great job.  That is the main reason I voted for him.  He had so much shit on his plate when he came into office I am thoroughly impressed with how good things are going.  I too thought the economy would be much better by now when the recession started.  I was way too optomistic.  Shit was fucked up, and Obama did a great job keeping it from really getting fucked up. 

I could go on and on, but Im sure you get the point.
