Absolutely stunned that the SEC officials ruled that a TD (it was the correct call). Yes I'm cynical that the SEC wants one of their teams in the National Championship game and believe the league would rule any close calls in favor of Alabama over a team that his no SEC history.

SEC is overrated this year. The fact that Missippi State is ranked is an absolute joke. Here are their wins:
Jackson State
Auburn
Troy
South Alabama
Kentucky
Tennessee
Mid Tennessee

Lost to the only two teams they've played with a pulse by a combined 56 pts and their 3 SEC wins came against the jokes of the conference. They'll get destroyed by LSU tonight.

As for Georgia there only good win is the offensively inept Florida team that scraped by Lou Lafayette today. Fraud as well.

Say what you want about the SEC being overrated, but all I know is that their best team bitch slapped one of the Big Ten's best team in the 1st weekend of the year.

As a fan of a team in the Big 10, you probably shouldn't be talking about overrated conferences. The Big 10 isn't exactly a group of world beaters....

PS - that was really, really stupid to go on 4th down. If you don't have any faith in your defense it's one thing, but you don't give the number 1 team great field position when momentum is going their way. Punt it deep and hope for a stop. If they go 95 yards and score..well..shit... but at least they probably took a solid 8 minutes off the clock in doing so.

How are they going to fix this thing now so an SEC team gets in the title game?

The Gophers, with a few occasional hiccups, were truly dominant basically from their inception all the way through the end of Bierman's first tenure (1941). Other than the 1961 and 1967 seasons, they've been more or less the same every year since 1941 - mediocre-to-poor. Since 1967, the Gophers have finished 3rd in the Big Ten three times. Of course, they've never finished 1st or 2nd in that time frame.

I think it's funny that a Big12 team can come into the powerhouse defensive conference like the SEC and take down the top dog in the country, in that top dog's house. Of course, things could change, but A&M is shit-kicking Bama. Bama isn't tackling worth a dick and they look worn out.
