What deals are you seeing? I see $1358 MKE to LAX on SW. Help a poor soul trying to convince his wife to go.

Edit: $1358 for a pair round trip. Sorry. Best I can find at this point and it's probably not going to be low enough for us to go.

None. I just booked for about $125 more than last year. Tried Cleveland, PIT, Canton-Akron to LAX, Burbank, Ontario. Cleveland-LAX "cheapest" considering needed times and other complications. But it's over with and I'm there.

If it's not late, it wasn't our freight!

It's pretty ugly out there. Best I've found is $650 a ticket from MSP to John Wayne.

What a cretin. It must be tough to face the media when everyone in the room knows the other coach just came into your building, with less talent (on paper), and drank your fucking milkshake - again.

Well if you are going to do that why not fly into Vegas and drive over? Flights are much cheaper and you can rent an unlimited mileage car. We did it for the TCU Rose Bowl and it worked out fine. Just a thought?

This is what I've done in the past and have been looking to do again this year. Unfortunately, prices are still crazy high from MKE or ORD. $500+ for most of the flights.

This is what I've done in the past and have been looking to do again this year. Unfortunately, prices are still crazy high from MKE or ORD. $500+ for most of the flights.

yup -- I hate airports and still looked into the fly-to-Vegas route. found closer to $600 and you still need to rent the car.

I know this doesn't help anyone now, but I highly suggest applying for a Chase Rapid Rewards card which often gives $800 of free flights with a minimum amount put on the card. The great thing is that you can book flights well ahead of time and then cancel if you don't end up going. You just get your points back.

The Gophers, with a few occasional hiccups, were truly dominant basically from their inception all the way through the end of Bierman's first tenure (1941). Other than the 1961 and 1967 seasons, they've been more or less the same every year since 1941 - mediocre-to-poor. Since 1967, the Gophers have finished 3rd in the Big Ten three times. Of course, they've never finished 1st or 2nd in that time frame.

Have fun. I did that drive in 2007 when I moved out west, but I didn't have any decent camera equipment at the time. Iowa, Nebraska, and Eastern Colorado were boring but there were great sights in Denver, Vail, Southern Utah, and a bit through Arizona.
