Where would this new arena be?Not as far as I know, but it only takes one alum with megabucks and the desire for his name on a building. The last suggestion I heard about where was near McCormick Place, which is almost as ridiculous as Rosemont as a home court for DePaul. Needless to say, building sites are hard to come by in a city center. I actually saw some interesting ideas about sites along the east bank of the Chicago River within a mile of DePaul's campus. The problem is that they are industrial sites and would require both that the businesses relocate and then God knows what amount of cleanup.

"Earlier today we voted unanimously to pursue an orderly evolution to a foundation of basketball schools that honors the history and tradition on which the Big East was established," the seven presidents said in a joint statement. "Under the current context of conference realignment, we believe pursuing a new basketball framework that builds on this tradition of excellence and competition is the best way forward."
