NHL playmakers is far from the problem this year, although over the past few years that is what has lead up to where we are we at today. This team doesn't have a truely have a  go to goal scorer although Mersh looks as if he is going to be taking that role. Lack of talented forwards overall has become the eye sore for this group....name 1 that can go dig a puck out of the corner and turn it into a goal, in fact some of these guys look as if they are afraid to go into the corners....the defensive group is playing average at best...and the goaltending looks as if it is falling into place as always around Wisconsin....the power play something that has disappeared in the Eaves era and once again during uah series they were more determined to see how many fancy passes they could create vs shots on goal....and on another note these kids have been on the power play for about 13-15 years of their life before they ever arrived at the uw so what is the problem????  These team could use a rene bourque a forward that just took the shots, or a ryan macmurchy take the shot and miss and then go after your opponent because you missed, that's right its an attitude which is the biggest missing piece of the puzzle, you had better start playing this game with a mean spirited free flowing attitude or nothing is going change...

let's wait and see how the 2nd half pans out here...I have saw worse teams than this make a run, and the good lord knows we need a serious run...I've spent alot of years around Badger hockey and not ready to give up on my boys at least not yet
