That is a pretty good deal for the Badgers, and I would think Buzz would take something like that. Even Marquette fans get sick of Savannah State coming to Milwaukee every year.

Calpari only would continue the series if it would be held at independent venues each year (Louisville and Indianapolis). Crean wanted it to go back to a home-and-home series. Neither would budge. I was at some sort of alumni event attended by another Big Ten coach (that may be in the state of Indiana), and asked him if he was considering filling the gap that Indiana left on Kentucky's schedule. After uttering a friendly explicative, he made some sort of remark about not playing pro teams.

Posts: 90 December 20, 2012 2:51 AM	I was there and I can confirm that Gold fans were D-Bags. Also, I enjoyed booing the Gold players as they left the court without shaking hands. I will echo what somebody said here about Keifer Sykes; he is a very good guard but Alec Brown has been disappointing this season. The game was called fairly by the officials until the last few minutes when MU got a couple calls. It didn't stop Green Bay from making plays down the stretch and securing the victory. No fluke here, the Phoenix earned this one. They are an athletic team and I think they will improve as the season goes on.

There was something written about espn being behind setting up games between the new conference and the acc. That is interesting since I have seen many comments blaming espn for the break up of the BE. Now they would be ready to jump right back I to bed with espn?

Posts: 1542 December 20, 2012 9:09 AM Norman Dale	As far as I can see (and obviously I can't see the actual contracts), UW plays at UWM once every 4 years and at UWGB once every 4 years. UW played at UWGB in 2009 and will do so again in 2013. UW played at Milwaukee in 2007 and 2011. I think some people look at the series and combine cycles. Say you start looking at the series in 2006. You see that there have been 6 games in Madison and only 1 game in Green Bay during that time period. What people don't look at is that this is (probably) two separate contracts. In the mid 2000's it also appears they aligned so that UW plays at one of the 3 in-state schools every year. 02-03 they played at GB and MU, but in 03-04 and 05-06 they played all 3 at home. Since 06-07, it has followed that pattern.

UW gets to call the shots, the are the major. If they wanted to they could probably book the games with UWM and UWGB as all home games. Marquette used the UW schedule as a model when negotiating with UWM and UWGB. My guess is they'll drop both series if GB and Milwaukee ask for home games. The new conference means MU will be looking to add even more buy game to pad their revenue. It's an absolute paradox. The bacon must have been finished, thus disallowing the possibility of 'leftover'. And yet, were that impossibility to occur, surely it would be good. -LeviBooth

A very nice setup and gives the directional schools a big revenue home game every three years as well. It's an absolute paradox.
