They almost certainly won't run option a great deal. However, Andersen has said that he likes to at least sprinkle in some option, if for no other reason than to force the opposing D to spend time preparing for it. I'd expect it to play very little part of Wisconsin's offense next year, as there really isn't a qb on the current roster who is well-suited to run it.

To expand on what you said, the state of Wisconsin doesn't produce players that a spread would require like Ohio can. Wisconsin kids are usually the linemen type, with a few speed guys here and there. That's what UW needs to keep doing, is consistently having a sound running game (whether that's running out of different formations, not just the power I) and playing sound defense. Some elements of the spread option just to keep a D guessing is likely the extent of it. My guess (and others more educated than myself) is that we won't see the offense change much from what it did the past year.

Andersen is smart and he will have his offense play to the strength. He won't come in like Rich Rod at UM and completely change the identity.
