Posts: 400 05/20/08 8:35 PM just starting to think about having a doner.	Bulls had a 1.7% chance to win it, and they're coming home "happy." They will probably be picking between Michael Beasley and Derrick Rose. Heat get the "leftover." T-Wolves and "The Mayor" will be picking 3rd. Bucks fell to the 8th pick in the draft. Last year I was begging for Corey Brewer at their spot, wouldn't have helped much offensively this year, but he can defintely play some defense. I'm not sure what they're looking at, most early mocks have the 8th pick being a guard, so we'll see what they do. Hopefully, if it is a guard, it's somebody that doesn't mind playing a little defense. I would have liked to seen the Knicks and D'Antoni get the #1 or #2 and roll with Beasley or Rose, they could actually be entertaining to watch next year for different purposes; they do have some athletes to play the system. I think Miami is very happy knowing they'll get a beast in the paint or a true point and end the White Chocolate experience. Do the Bulls take another PF with Thomas, Noah, etc already on the roster? A point with Hinrich/Gordon already there? Interesting debates coming up.

I don't think they can play the 3 with Michael Redd still on the roster too. The roster is in shambles right now, if the Bucks had taken Corey Brewer last year, they would be in position to go big or small with this year's pick. Now, I think they have to take a guard, I hope I'm wrong.

Posts: 261 05/21/08 6:07 AM I've never had the East side experiences, but I'm all about scuzz.	With the Sampson ties, and the possibility of trading Redd. I definetly like watching Gordon play and think he has tremendous upside, as compared to knowing exactly what your going to get out of Redd. Also, with Skiles as coach I think a guard is going to be where the bucks go with young players. I'm interested in their thoughts with Mo. He is hit or miss. I like him, but there are some glaring holes and I think Skiles could help clean those up. I don't really like Love, and I guess I can't quite put my finger on it. He has decent size, great hands, great work ethic, touch from range, limited athleticisim(OVERATTED!!), but he strikes me as another Laettner. Can be solid, but won't develop into anything special. As much as it pains me I would take Gordon and trade away Redd or Mo, with being the likely choice due to him and Gordon being pretty much the same player(shoot first PG/SG). Rollin' with Bob Saget

Reportedly, he has lost 15 pounds since the Final Four and has gained muscle...his goal is to lose 5 more pounds before the Orlando camp. People said that Boozer was undersized and slow as well, and he's now one of the best power forwards in the game. Love has top notch basketball intelligence and is a double double every night. Two post players with high basketball IQs would definitely be a plus. Outside of Beasley, Gordon is the best scorer in the draft. If the Bucks do move Redd, I think he could be the pick. And don't count out Russel Westbrook from UCLA. Skiles is defensive oriented and Westbrook is probably the best defender in the draft.

Clearly the NBA is starting a little bit of a shift towards the PG position, with the emergence of the young guys Derron Williams and CP3. I think Rose could be one of those type of players, and REALLY open up the Bulls offense and help them out. Captain Kirk is still not a prototypical PG (what the hell is he?). Joakim has been playing center, and he played much better towards the end of the year. Gooden should be the 4 moving forward, he is the closest thing the Bulls have had to a low scoring threat in awhile. Deng and Gordon are both restricted, and I think there is a good chance Gordon gets signed then traded... and if you package him with Kirk, you may be able to get something nice. Bottom line is though, the Bulls have an overload of SGs and just guards in general, but unfortunately none of them are the answer, in my opinion. But this should open up a lot of trade talks. Who knows, I think there is a good chance the Bulls trade the pick too... you could get some great value in return.

While the PG position is in good hands with CP3 and Deron, the 4 remaining teams have all star Forwards/Centers. Kobe is Kobe, but he's not advancing w/out Gasol. Spurs have Duncan. Pistons have Rasheed. Celtics don't even make the playoffs w/out KG. The Bulls should and will draft Beasley Boo This Man!!!

I'm sure that was on the up and up. (NOD, NOD, WINK, WINK). Shocker. Reminds me of Stern wanting to get basketball going in Florida so he rigged the Magic with a one percent chance of getting the number one pick and, miraculously, they got it and Shaq..........they followed that up by getting the top pick the following year So lets see. Mathematically, only 1 in every 60 to 100 drafts should a team like like Chicago in 2008 or Orlando in 1992 get the number one pick BUT UNBELIEVABLY now its happened twice in 16 years!!!! Boo This Man!!!

He's a Chicago kid, he's a huge upgrade over Hinrich (who completely lost his mojo this season), and he's a leader. The Bulls need leadership in the worst way. Too many character questions about Beasley for a team like the Bulls that already has a lot of squirrelly dudes on the team. (Rick Morrissey of the Trib points out that Beasley attended 6 different high schools in 5 different states -- a major red flag.) The Bucks should take a long look at Westbrook. They need a real point guard, and they need guys who give a damn on the defensive end. Russell could also swing over to shooting guard if need be. Posts: 516 05/21/08 8:26 AM	I think the Bulls take Beasley hands down. The Bulls need scoring, especially frontcourt scoring. Beasley is too good to pass up. Hinrich, Gordon, Deng, Beasley, and Noah is a strong starting 5 with very little weaknesses. With Duhon, Hughes, Tyrus Thomas, and Gooden off the bench, Chicago will immediately make themselves a top contender. If the Bulls get a coach who likes to run, Rose could be the pick, but I still think they're going to take the big guy and superior scorer.

Posts: 177 05/21/08 8:39 AM	To be fair necka, the first time it happened (Orlando), the best team in the lottery had as good of a chance as the worst team of getting the top pick. After Orlando won that lottery, they modified it to give the worst teams better odds of getting picked. Personally, I think they should go back to the way they used to do it and eliminate the incentive to lose games on purpose at the end of the season.
