Just wanted to say hi to everyone. I'm new here. I didn't no where else to post this, so yeah. I'm ready to talk Badger sports with everybody.

Welcome to Buckyville. This place is as good as any to post your message, but it doesn't get much traffic. The Water Cooler Board gets much more traffic and is also good for anything, well, off topic.
Go Badgers.
Remember, as much as the Dude disliked Quintana, he had to admit that he could roll.

HEY Southfew | #3 | ||

Got a really odd situation going on. I started my new job and for some reason, I can't create a new topic. Not because I don't want to, but because
when I visit the board from my work computer, all the tabs such as 'new topic' (as well as 'new poll' etc) simply aren't anywhere to be
found.
This is why I'm posting this as a response to an ongoing thread. I can reply (via quick reply, or the wuote or reply tabs within posts), but I can't start a thread. I've gone through my preferences/settings on 'my account' multiple times and just can't figure out why this is happening. For reference, my work access is through IE, home access is through Safari and access through my old job (where everything was hunky dory) was through IE. Any thoughts? |

Have you checked your security settings to see if Java and Javascript are enabled? Do you have a third-party firewall program running on your machine?

I know there is a firewall...how do I determine the status of java? Sorry, i'm not very savvy when it comes to software manipulation.

DCBadger7 wrote: The firewall is probably the cause, so unless you are able to tweak some of the settings, you are probably SOL. Tools Menu -> Internet Options -> Security Tab You should be able to look at "Custom Levels" and see if Java / Java scripting is allowed.

Thanks, saunders. Short answer response is I am indeed SOL.

Brian is correct. Unfortunately, the new post button is stored on a site to which your company probably blocks access.

BuckSixty wrote: Wow, Buck Sixty! You are brilliant. Yuku does allow me to do that. I stored the "new post" and "reply" button on yuku and then changed the address to a yuku address. Let's see if it works. DCBadger7, see if you can get a "new post" button at your office now. |

DCB7 - I thought I had issues (and have since given up) paying attention to Buckyville at work. And yes Dude - BuckSixty is brilliant. |

SF, I now have a new topic button next to the reply button. Thanks for making it happen! |
