Is there a way to expand the topics in a forum to show all the individual reply titles? (i.e. it's hard to avoid NSFW posts at work when someone posts a
NSFW pic halfway down a thread). I've looked around a bit, but can't seem to locate anything of this sort. Never needed this option in the past, so I
didn't pay much attention to it.

I don't believe there is an option. I wish there was for the same reason you cite. As an alternative, we can only ask people to not post NSFW images in a
thread that doesn't have that marker in its title, or for the title to be edited by either the original poster or Southfew after it has been sullied (or,
more likely, enhanced) by the naughty image.

Figures. Don't get me wrong, I love "fun" pictures, but I do not love the idea of receiving a message from IT/management expressing their
dissatisfaction with my interweb viewing habits.

Buck Sixty is right for not but let me investigate further.
I will look to see if there is a way to toggle back and forth to see post titles before viewing so that the individual post's "NSFW" tag can be seen before opening. The old ezboard did not allow this. Yuku might. Edit: Let me know what you think about the tailgating board format now in place. The format does not allow the user to toggle back and forth to change the view displayed.

That's what I was looking for, but it's unfortunate that it can't be set/toggled for each individual user. I can see how others might find the
expanded format too "busy" for viewing.
To be honest, I prefer the format we have now, it's just that it can be problematic for those of us viewing the board from work. I'm with you, Omni. Before Badgermaniac's wholescale platform change, that board went from the tree view (like the tailgating board) to the subject
board (like we have everywhere else here). A lot of people bitched about getting away from the tree view, and I thought I'd hate it, but I much prefer the
straight subject line view. Much, much cleaner.

I like the tree view for threads that are 5-10 posts or less. For some of the busier threads, I agree that it is unreadable.
To try to address the NSFW problem, I will do my best to edit the first subject title in any thread that contains NSFW material. If anyone stumbles upon any such NSFW material, please let me know so I can fix the title. Thank you for your thoughts. I will check periodically to see if there is a way to toggle back and forth between the two views. |
