Hmmm. Wine, cheese, beer and brats. Four things I like?

The part I bolded "one heck of a wine and cheese tailgate" just reminded me of games at Northwestern or UCLA's stadium and the bourgeois snobbery
of a portion of their fans. I love wine and cheese, too, but it strikes me as out of place before a football game. Maybe I'm wrong.
Here's an article on "14 tailgaters who annoy the crap out of you." About the wine and cheese tailgater, it says: The Wine and Cheese Tailgater - Normally spotted tailgating before a Michael Bolton or John Tesh concert, wine and cheese tailgater has been rarely seen tailgating sporting events. His taste in wine is impeccable and he has the finest meats and cheeses displayed like he is trying to impress the art gallery curator. He'll normally be disgusted by the debauchery displayed by the Bourgeois beer drinkers he must tolerate in order to attend this event. Tailgating is more of a hassle than an activity to enjoy to wine and cheese guy. He'd be better off staying at home and catching it on TV. |

Sweet article. I hate acoustic guitar guy, attention whore, homer, liquid diet guy, and inappropriate music guy. There are a lot of douchebags one needs to
dodge when tailgating!
I had a flask with brandy, but probably was relatively sober. That was a mistake.

If it was just wine and cheese, then it would definitely be worth laughing at. But you add in the beer and brats, and I don't see what is wrong with it.
I almost always have cheese at a tailgate and some, like TAW, just love wine.
I recall the UCLA tailgates at the RBs, which were of the chardonnay and quiche variety. La-dee-effing-da!
Bless the Badgers.

There's no snobbery like anti-snobbery snobbery.

Exactly, Padre. Cheese, brats and beer should be at every Wisconsin tailgate. Adding wine is about as simple as my mom or any one of my aunts dropping by.
Although it's the opposite of pretension, my college-aged cousins always bring a box of wine to our tailgates, pull the bladder out of the box and pass it
around while slapping the side of the bladder like it's a hot chick's ass before taking pulls directly from the valve. Voila. Wine, cheese, beer and
brats tailgate.

Timster, is this a normal ritual amongst certain groups of Wisconsinites, or is something your cousin concocted? The reason I ask is I was at a tailgate within the last couple of years where I partook in this activity.
Go Badgers.

Sounds like it's catching on with the kids, no doubt. I've never tailgated at lot 1. Regardless, keep slappin' it Timster.
